world series!

now: Game 3 of the MLB WORLD SERIES @ colorado coors field

being caught up in the world series atmosphere right now. i realise i do hope the colorado rockies win this game 3. ahhh!

and daisuke matsuzaka is pitching for boston. he had bursts of brilliance throughout the season, and though i want him to do well i dont want him to win. hehe.

saturdays! haha, i like saturdays. =) especially when i wake up to a cloudy morning, and the temperature outside's a cooling 25 degrees.

wanted to blog about something that affected me during the weekdays. have been taking the train to work everyday, and twice when i entered the same carriage at the same time, ive seen a young married couple on their way to work. the wife is really young, and is heavily pregnant, but because the train is so packed, no one really notices her petite presence, and they're always standing. can you imagine the crush of the people in the morning, and how a pregnant woman has to protect herself against the commuters pushing in at every station, oblivious to the fragility of what she's carrying in her? i was worried for her, but then i looked at the way her husband protected her, i was touched, in a way. i looked at the way he held on to both her and his unborn child, using his body to block her and the baby from the crowd, holding on to her tightly so she never feels unstable. and they're a young couple, probably not older than their late twenties, and somehow it was really good to see something so beautiful in the mornings.

and after all that noise and confusion during the weekends, quiet times with friends just catching up with each other over dinner is good too. and so is meeting dy for supper. long car rides just leaning back and listening to music is bliss, in a way.

cookie cravings. have been stopping myself from buying chocolate chip cookies even though i really really want to have famous amos or chipsmore or chips ahoy or whatever. =)

baseball world series game 3 on sunday 8am. must must must watch. boston looks well on their way to winning, but there's this tiny hope maybe the rockies will pull something off. heh.

how i spent my nights after returning home from work has become quite routine as well. walk home from the mrt station, watch sportscenter, eat dinner, go online, read book, wait for dy's msg, fall asleep. hah.

its thursday tmr! yayy. im sure like mia and mawar will both count down with me. everytime i see mawar i know another day has passed. =P mia we can do it! yes we can! =) im gg to go toilet more often so i can wow at what yoko-san is doing when i pass by her desk. heheh.

and im procrastinating on a freaking blog entry. rahh. started this post one and a half hours ago, dammit! now im talking like stephanie from work. she says i use too much hahas in my IM and msges.

short paragraphs because im actually just waiting for [crimes that shook the world] to start. this episode's about the phoenix strangler, quite famous story i think. hmm. after staring at seven channels' worth of tv listings day in and day out, i think i wont forget to watch my favourite shows on discovery anymore. haha.

work update.

have been putting off writing because i just didnt have the energy to write after work. im always like tt on the first of switching my schedules dramatically, and i guess its exhausting. =)

work has been an eye-opener so far, i cnt say im loving it, but i dont not like it either. some adjusting to do, before i think i can really settle in. glad that mia and mawar are around to crap about the class when i miss them. mass emailing has been super boliao; but from there you can really see how much the class has bonded over the past two and a half years.

im tired, slept at four, but woke up at nine!! and on a rainy morning, too, where usually i can sleep the best. haha. my body's clock been reset back to the wake up at 6.30am kind of life alr.

now i only see dy on the weekends, i was telling darryn macham army book out like tt. darryn's answer was hilarious. he told me to stop whining, because he has to work weekends some weeks, and that's macham guard duty forever cnt book out. HAHA. but seriously, it did make me feel better. heheh. thanks bradi!

i do like watching discovery programmes. besides my favourite favourite mythbusters and jamie oliver stuff, i miss my crime night stuff as well. now with checking tv listings as part of my job, i know exactly whats showing on animal planet, home and health, real time, and science as well. >_<

loving the weekends! it seems to stretch out in front of you, but by sunday im sure to be thinking how come it passes so quickly again. missing tep's environment muchos. especially south canteen liang kuai! =P

good dayy, today. i like today! yayy. today is a greatgreat day.

i think you can sense that i like the 14th, cant you? hehh.

dy and i had dinner at the marmalade pantry at palais renaissance. one good thing about palais renaissance is that besides all the tai-tais, no one really ever remembers its a place for dining in as well. so we had a real quiet dinner. liked the paper placemat thingie quite a bit; sort of like something we would design for CATCH! ^^

here's dy smiling a little tiredly because he had to hold his smile for the autofocus on the 10.9 to well, autofocus on him. waiting for his salmon teriyaki with chilled soba, and me waiting for my grilled chicken and bacon club. we were supposed to take pictures of the main courses, but then once we saw the food arrive, we kind of forgot. ^^" and i found something that dy doesnt like. wild rocket! i think rocket is a yucky vegetable too, but suiyi made me eat them in australia because she loves them, and everyone else in the world thinks rocket is great in salads. bleurgh. x(

highlight of the evening! the marmalade pantry's famed dessert, sticky date toffee pudding with vanilla bean ice cream! you should have seen how dy zammed the whole thing. but it was really really good. its like having hot fudge brownie with ice cream, but a little less sinful because it isnt as chocolatey? but still.. the toffee sauce was genius.

green tea latte at starbucks was sort of like green tea ice cream from azabu sabo or one of those sabos. haha. but dy and i were a little sick of our usual vanilla and mocha frappes and whatnot so we decided to try it. it was quite good, i thought, if you mixed it really well and let the ice blended become a bit more liquid. like melted ice cream.

dont know why we gave tt face also. maybe because this blog entry is ending! =P making full use of the front camera function on dy's 12.1 in starbucks wisma atria summore. so lou kui. HAHA.

god, this is becoming a food blog! haha. think there are loads of other places we have plans to try out.. hmm. have to see how IPP works out before we can plan anything. expo in one more day! kind of dreading and looking forward to it at the same time. =) think it will be fun.

boston redsox just put one over the cleveland indians today in the AL championship series. well, i guess ill support hideki okajima then, since the yankees are out of the running. thats like betrayal isnt it? im definitely a yankees faithful, but i do like okajima's style. heheh.

ive been really lazy in blogging these days ah. havent really had time to sit down and think, eh got nothing to do, lets blog. haha. and so now, with IPP results out and everything, i think many people in the class can heave a sign of relief. for me, im really glad i going with amelia, and working in the building next to mawar! yay! haha. i do think its going to be fun, except it will be stressful trying to live up to the expectations and meet the standards of abner and the like.

alone in the house on an almost-raining morning. i like. =) i guess its the last day of official break before work starts, and i plan to be very lazy.

the 10.9 has been bought! the garnet red one. was really happy with it until i realised it had a firmware problem. -_-" had to bring it down to the service center for an update, and they made me wait for 4 hours? what? i don't know how difficult it is to update firmware on a phone, but i do think it can be done without a four-hour wait bah. well. dy came down to lunch with me so i wasnt bored bored. =) spent the remaining one hour plus sort of shopping. haha. i did get my phone back, and now i can really explore the phone.

been walking quite a bit these few days. dont know why, but sometimes if the distance is like say, five, six bus stops worth i would just walk. even though the sun is freaky hot. dy can walk quite a bit, and so im training my leg muscles too. but he walks in air-conditioned areas. haha!

okay, time to bathe, but some hurrays are in store:
hurray for new starts
hurray for lunches with mia and mawar
hurray for the 14th
hurray for 7-2 work hours *fingers crossed =P
hurray for friday suppers, and wednesday dinners, or whatever!
hurray for japan trips

counting down to the 10.9! ahhh one more dayyyy. i hope. haha. saw dy's 12.1 yesterday, it is sexy lah. merlion skyline wallpaper that turns to night at 7pm, and stops vomiting water at 3am for cleaning.. okay, tt was nonsense. it does automatically turn dark on his handphone at 7pm though. =)

dinner to celebrate huangting's birthday with the posse yesterday, ate too much, am too bloated today to talk much today. woke up early because felt really weird in my tummy area.

jess had to admit that a true-blue tamagotchi is fun fun funn. hehe. saw darryn the harrypotter; okayy lah, looked good lah, i just got a shock k? and he looks like skinny louis, now that louis cut his hair.

yanting with her new light blue glasses! i think it makes her look cute. and because we thought darryn might look good with it, we asked him to take off his harrypotter black frames and try on the blue ones..

eh, not too bad lehh.. looks intellectual, i feel. maybe he should have gotten light coloured glasses. he looks like the good guy who always gives up his girlfriend to the hero of the korean drama. heheh.

and i think i look like the good witch of the east from wizard of oz. WAHAH.

i hate having cramps! rahh. when will LOs call? its tuesday, damn it! haha.

TMDDD!! yankees just lost 3 games to 1 in the best-of-5 division series against the cleveland indians! RAHH! wang chien-ming, how could youuu! *breaks down and cries. no yankees in championship series?! must we watch the red sox win AGAIN?
sorreh, must be the pms. i still havent gotten on to the all blacks losing to the french in world cup rugby yet. AHHH!

havent blogged in ages, i think. didnt realise until i saw yanting's tag, actually. =P no school = no life?! haha. not really, but spending more time resting. been really exhausted with school. but one more week of rest, and then IPP starts. kind of looking forward to it, actually. going somewhere totally new, and meeting new people. *crosses fingers hoping for amos bosses and nice toilets. nice toilets are very very important to me. hehe. dy and i, on the other hand, were walking past every guy and thinking progressively that each guy we passed must be my boss.

huangyanting's birthday todayy. happy birthday darling! =) i think exciting challenges await you in the near future. like really near, maybe? hhaha. finally, only darryn is the youngest among us. eeyer! fits his maturity level, i guess. >_<

phone change! i hope really soon. my old phone is bursting at its seams to contain all my msges and files alr. amazingly it has lasted me 20 months. rmb the old phone with the sexy flip open mechanism? woots. this panasonic one has been going strong. heheh.

postseason baseball = baseball playoffs. havent been daring to read the emails tt come in abt the yankees and the indians division series..
okay, just read, yankees have just lost two games in a row. how to get into world series like that?! my hopes of a redsox-yankees matchup are slowly diminishing. bleah.
